Short answer: the cheapest business tier of Meta One can be worth it for the verified badge and impersonation protection, especially if scammers copy your page. Don't buy it expecting more customers. Meta hasn't promised that paying improves your reach or your ad results.

Meta One launched in Australia in September 2026. It bundles paid features across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, with separate plans for everyday users, creators and businesses. Here's what businesses actually get and who should bother.

What Meta One costs for businesses in Australia

As reported by Mediaweek at the Australian launch, the business tiers are:

  • Essential: $22.99 a month
  • Advanced: $76.99 a month
  • Expert: $229 a month
  • Max: $769 a month

In the US the same tiers are $14.99, $49.99, $149 and $499 USD. Jon Loomer, a well-known Meta ads educator, points out that pricing is per asset: each Facebook Page, Instagram profile or WhatsApp Business number. If you have all three, the cost adds up.

What you get

Essential includes a verified badge, impersonation protection, a verified WhatsApp Business channel, enhanced profiles and link features.

Advanced adds things like scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights and team access without sharing passwords. In the US version, it also includes one human support case a month.

Expert and Max add more support cases, more team members and more WhatsApp broadcast credits, and are really aimed at bigger brands.

What you don't get

  • No promise of more reach. Meta hasn't said subscribers get better distribution for their posts.
  • No cheaper ads. Your ad costs are set by the auction, not by your subscription.
  • No more leads on its own. A blue tick builds a bit of trust, but people still choose based on your reviews, your work and how fast you reply.

Some marketers have been critical. Jon Loomer took issue with Meta charging for link sharing in posts that used to be less restricted, and expects most small businesses to stop at Essential.

Who should get it

  • Worth considering: businesses being impersonated by fake pages, anyone who's had trouble reaching Meta support, and businesses that rely on WhatsApp to talk to customers.
  • Probably skip: a local service business with a small following that mostly gets work from ads and referrals. Your money does more as ad spend or better video.

Where to put the money instead

For most local businesses, $77 a month on Advanced would be better spent on things that directly bring in work: a few more days of ad spend, a fresh round of short videos, or a faster way to follow up enquiries. In the accounts we run at Get Paid Leads, new creative and quick follow-up move the numbers far more than profile features do.

If you're weighing it up, start with Essential for a month, see if the badge or support actually helps, and cancel if it doesn't.

Common questions

Is Meta One the same as Meta Verified? Meta One is the new subscription bundle. For businesses, verification is part of the Essential tier and above.

Does Meta One help my Facebook ads perform better? Meta hasn't said it does. Ad delivery is decided by the ad auction.

Do I need it to run ads? No. Anyone with a Facebook Page and ad account can run ads without subscribing.
